Het Molenaar Racing Team zal in actie komen tijdens de Pirelli Dutch Round van het World Superbike kampioenschap in Assen. Thom Molenaar en Sven Doornenbal zullen met een wildcard op hun Kawasaki Ninja 400’s uitkomen in de World Supersport 300 klasse.

Het prestigieuze World Superbike kampioenschap opende het seizoen eind februari al in Australië waarop begin maart het tweede evenement in Indonesië werd verreden. Voor de derde ronde keert het circuit terug naar Europese bodem en wel in Assen, waar van 21 tot en met 23 april de Pirelli Dutch Round op het programma staat. Thom Molenaar en Sven Doornenbal van het Molenaar Racing Team kregen net zoals voorgaande jaren een wildcard toegewezen voor de World Supersport 300 klasse. Beide coureurs hebben in het voorjaar een aantal trainingen in Spanje afgewerkt waarna er begin april een laatste test op het TT circuit werd verreden en zijn er klaar voor om in actie te komen. Molenaar en Doornenbal zullen met de Kawasaki’s in Arie Molenaar Motors / Nutec kleuren dan ook hun uiterste best doen om voor het eigen publiek, en in het bijzonder alle sponsors en fans, een mooie prestatie neer te zetten.

De coureurs zullen op vrijdag twee vrije trainingen verrijden en op zaterdagochtend een Superpole, in de middag gevolgd door de eerste race. Op zondagochtend wordt er een warming up verreden waarna in de middag de tweede race volgt.

Molenaar Racing Team to come out at the World Superbikes in Assen

The Molenaar Racing Team will be coming out at the Pirelli Dutch Round of the World Superbike championship in Assen. Thom Molenaar and Sven Doornenbal will compete with a wildcard on their Kawasaki Ninja 400s in the World Supersport 300 class.

The prestigious World Superbike championship opened the season at the end of February in Australia followed by the second event in Indonesia at the beginning of March. For the third round, the WSBK returns to European soil. The Pirelli Dutch Round at Assen is scheduled from April 21-23. Thom Molenaar and Sven Doornenbal of the Molenaar Racing Team will compete in the World Supersport 300 class with a wildcard, just like previous years. Both riders completed a number of training sessions in Spain in early spring, followed by a final test at the TT circuit in early April. The riders of the Molenaar Racing Team will do their utmost with the Kawasaki’s in Arie Molenaar Motors / Nutec colors to give a great performance in front of their own public, and especially all sponsors and fans.

On the agenda are two free practice sessions on Friday, a Superpole on Saturday morning and the first race in the afternoon. On Sunday morning there will be a warm-up followed by the second race in the afternoon.
