Het Molenaar Racing Team maakt in 2022 de overstap naar Kawasaki. Thom Molenaar en Sven Doornenbal zullen met een Kawasaki Ninja 400 aan de start van het IDM Supersport 300 verschijnen.

Na 2 seizoenen met KTM uit te zijn gekomen in het IDM Supersport 300 maakt het Molenaar Racing Team in 2022 de overstap naar Kawasaki, het merk dat met de Ninja 400 zowel in het IDM als World Supersport 300 zeer actief en succesvol is. Het team zal komend seizoen in ongewijzigde samenstelling met de coureurs Thom Molenaar en Sven Doornenbal uitkomen op de Kawasaki Ninja 400 in het IDM Supersport 300. Op zaterdag 4 december werd het nieuws aan een select gezelschap van sponsoren en partners bekend gemaakt in de showroom van Arie Molenaar Motors in IJsselstein. Met inachtneming van de geldende maatregelen werden in klein comité de plannen voor komend seizoen onthuld en het doek van de Kawasaki getrokken. De komende maanden zullen in het teken staan van preparatie van de motoren en trainingen op kleine circuits in het buitenland, gevolgd door voorjaarstrainingen op de grotere circuits. Het IDM seizoen zal vervolgens van start gaan op 6 mei op de Duitse Lausitzring en in het tweede weekend van augustus zal traditioneel Assen aan worden gedaan. Het team kijkt alvast uit naar het komende seizoen, vol met mooie nieuwe uitdagingen!

After 2 seasons IDM Supersport 300 with KTM, Molenaar Racing Team will switch to Kawasaki, a brand that is well known for it’s success with the Ninja 400 in both the IDM and World Supersport 300. The team will compete with Kawasaki in the IDM Supersport 300 next season in unchanged composition with Thom Molenaar and Sven Doornenbal. On Saturday December 4th, the news was announced to a select group of sponsors and partners in the showroom of Arie Molenaar Motors in IJsselstein. The plans for next season were unveiled in a small committee and the Kawasaki was revealed to the audience. The coming winter months will be spent on preparation and training on small circuits abroad, followed by trackdays and tests on the larger circuits in spring. The IDM season will then start on May 6th at the German Lausitzring and traditionally in the second weekend of August there will be the Dutch round at Assen. The team is already looking forward to the coming season, full of great new challenges!
